In the last 9 years, we have had more than 2.3+ crore learners join and learn from the NPTEL certified courses (NOC) and 28.6 lakh+ candidates register for the exams.

Our NPTEL learners statistics says we have 76% students, 19% faculty and 5% industry learners taking up the exam. Since NPTEL has limited funding from the government, we are reaching out to our CSR partners to get support for the initiatives.

NPTEL Initiatives

At NPTEL, our goal is to help students build capabilities in science, technology, humanities, management and research and also get them job-ready. We are always exploring ways by which we can help our learners. This includes interacting with the industry to find experts to guide our learners, offer internships, donate CSR funds, and so on.

The CSR funds are used primarily to help learners from Tier II, III towns in India get certified through NPTEL courses by providing fee waiver (more than 1.52+ lakh learners supported), train them to develop soft skills and get them job-ready, offer the toppers of NPTEL courses opportunities to take up internships with course instructors/industry and so on. Though the project is funded by MHRD, support is only for content creation. Hence for the other initiatives, we need generous donors to come in and help us.
